ABSTRACT
In this difficult economy it is harder than ever to cope with the challenges on the job. Both the stress we take with us when we go to work and the stress that awaits us on the job are on the rise. Employees, Managers and Workers all feel the added pressure. While some stress in normal part of life is good, excessive stress reduces physical, mental and emotional health thus interfering with employee productivity. Hence it is important to find ways to keep it under control. The research paper aims at understanding gender differences in experiencing the occupational stress in the BPO sector. It is found to be moderated by the prevailing in the organizational culture. The sample of the study consisted of (59- males,22- females) employees from two different organizations. Findings of the study show that both male and female employees do not differ with respect perceived organizational culture and perceived stress level, both the organizations do not differ with respect to perceived organizational culture and the perceived stress level.
