ABSTRACT

The present study covers the aspects of assessing the job satisfaction level between male and female teaching faculty employed in various higher educational institutions in Udaipur city. Job satisfaction of teachers has become an important aspect of improving the quality of higher education in India. Descriptive survey method of research was used in executing the present study on 64 college teachers, selected as respondents on the basis of stratified random sampling techniques from six educational institutions of higher education in Udaipur city. Findings revealed that teaching faculty of higher educational institutes possessed average level of job satisfaction and significant difference was found in job satisfaction of teaching faculty with respect to gender.
